Where To Download Docs

A credit report is a detailed record of an individual's or a company's credit history and financial behaviour. Credit reports are compiled by credit reporting agencies (also known as credit bureaus) based on data provided by lenders, creditors, and other financial institutions.

You may also wish to read our other FAQ, "Why these documents," to learn more about why credit reports are required.

To get your CBS credit report, go to https://www.creditbureau.com.sg/

Please note that if your CBS is required by the lender to provide you with a quote, this applies regardless of any intermediaries. Intermediaries who choose not to collect your MLCB/CBS when required are likely to be giving you only an indicative offer based on an incomplete assessment or may require you to furnish it later, which could delay your application process. Or you might be heading down to the lenders based on the indicative quote and upon requesting your MLCB/CBS on the spot, have to turn you away due to your DSR.

In many countries, such websites are being sued for being misleading or click-baiting as there was no real comparison. Please click here for more on that, and how FindTheLoan works differently.

For members of CBS who can purchase it on your behalf, you can toggle the option to show only those lenders on the Select Financing Partners page to send your enquiry directly to them. But we recommend you speak to as many lenders as possible as finding a cheaper loan would save you much more than the cost of CBS.

Tip: When you make a loan enquiry with any of the digital banks directly, (accurate as of Sept 2024) you will be able to download your credit report for free. However, repeated pull may affect your credit score. So consider pulling it yourself and furnish the same to multiple lenders.

Please click download instead of right-click to save or print whenever such a button is available, as many banks and lenders would prefer these documents to be in PDF especially if they use machine scoring.

Foreigners who have not been taxable in Singapore can request a "No Income Tax Return" letter from IRAS and attach that instead. However, you may want to read, "Can a foreigner/S Pass [Employment Pass(EP)/Work Permit(WP) holder take a loan in Singapore?" before that.

A credit report is a detailed record of an individual's or a company's credit history and financial behaviour. Credit reports are compiled by credit reporting agencies (also known as credit bureaus) based on data provided by lenders, creditors, and other financial institutions.

You may also wish to read our other FAQ, "Why these documents," to learn more about why credit reports are required, and here for the definition of a moneylender, as the public is still often confused about what a moneylender is despite changes made to the Moneylender Act in the early 2000s.

To get your MLCB credit report, go to https://www.mlcb.com.sg/buy-loan.html (Not to be confused with the CBS report which is a separate industry update from all retail banks and some financial institutions.)

Please note your MLCB is required for the lenders to give you an accurate quote, this applies regardless of any intermediaries. Intermediaries who choose not to collect your MLCB/CBS when required, are likely to be giving you only an indicative offer based on an incomplete assessment or may require you to furnish it later, which could delay your application process. Please note while MLCB's FAQ states that a moneylender can purchase it, that is only if you are applying with the moneylender at their location, as you will notice that your Singpass login is required. (accurate as of Sept 2024)
